Company

American Anchor is a fall protection and suspended access company founded in 2000 by Bob Zeolla, a career window cleaner since 1975. The company is headquartered in Taunton, Massachusetts, south of Boston, at 305 Constitution Drive, Suite A, Taunton, MA 02780. It employs more than 30 people nationwide, with offices and crews in the Boston area, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Chicago, Minnesota, Denver, Florida and Texas, and serves the entire United States, including Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

Manufacturing

American Anchor manufactures its equipment at a dedicated facility in the United States and produces more than 200 anchor models engineered for specific building construction types. In-house engineering and manufacturing allow the company to design custom solutions where off-the-shelf equipment does not fit.

Services

System design and engineering, manufacturing, installation, inspection, load testing, certification and recertification, and repair. American Anchor services and assesses systems from any manufacturer, not only its own, and determines whether existing systems are safe or hazardous.

Products

Roof anchors, davits, monorail systems, horizontal lifelines, outriggers, guardrails, hatch guards, warning lines, suspended scaffold rigging, and elevated walking and working surfaces including fixed ladders, staircases and crossovers.

Track record

American Anchor has completed more than 50,000 installations, inspections and load tests on new construction and retrofit buildings, including buildings two centuries old with no surviving drawings. Through inspections and load testing nationwide, the company has identified thousands of defective or non-compliant fall protection components, then engineered, manufactured, installed and certified the corrections. Building owners, contractors and engineers regularly bring American Anchor in to assess and correct systems installed by others.

Clients

American Anchor serves Fortune 500 companies in defense, pharmaceuticals, entertainment and hospitality, as well as Air Force and Army installations, government facilities, biomedical research facilities in Boston and Cambridge, leading research universities in Cambridge, Massachusetts and nationwide, major hospital systems, commercial office towers, and national general contractors. Projects include multi-million-dollar building maintenance unit installations at flagship casino resorts. Continuous contracts with leading research universities in Cambridge have run for more than fifteen years, covering new construction and retrofit on nearly every project.

Leadership

Founder and President Bob Zeolla is a past president of the International Window Cleaning Association and serves on the ANSI I-14.1 window cleaning safety committee.

Vice President Bobby Zeolla chairs the Permanently Installed Equipment Council of the Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA) and is SPRAT and IRATA certified. He has educated more than 1,000 business owners, safety managers and industry professionals nationwide through conference presentations, live load test demonstrations and published articles.

Kevin Todd leads American Anchor's new construction work. A career window cleaner for ten years before joining the company, he has been with American Anchor full time for a decade and brings deep knowledge of construction bid documents, specifications and new construction projects, guiding fall protection and suspended access systems from bid through installation.

Several other members of American Anchor's leadership also came to the company from careers in the window cleaning trade.
